Since 1998

Mike Corbin / Corbin-Pacific Inc.

Back in the mid-1990s, Corbin Saddles (Corbin-Pacific Inc) was quickly outgrowing their facility in Castroville after just four short years. Corbin had nearly one hundred people on staff at the time and most of them commuted from around Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. It was time to move again, but this time for good.

Considering new locations, Mike had the following priorities:

  1. Move to a large enough facility that would last a minimum of 10 years with room to expand
  2. Locate to a clean, safe and growing community
  3. Assure 100% of associates would be willing to relocate or commute

Hollister filled the bill nicely for the Corbin wish list. The icing on the proverbial cake was a 1996 article published in Money magazine that listed Hollister, California as one of the top 50 Best Cities to Move with Your Family in the entire United States.

Mike Corbin has always made his associates a high priority and a business move that would improve the quality of life for his people was an easy decision. Corbin-Pacific broke ground in 1997 with a high percentage of personnel following suit over the next few years.
