On October 25, 1912, Anna Wiebe wrote in a letter to her brother, “Now I must go to get supper, oh I must tell you that we saw two airships over Hollister and over our house, my! The things look like big birds in the air with the big wings and they make a peculiar noise too.”
Anna lived on Wright Road, and her son, Walter Wiebe, and four other children. Walter left us the Wiebe Motel and many great inventions that helped make work around the ranch much easier.
